Description:   
  1. The client - a national hospitality company needed to upgrade the Property Management System (PMS) for 3000 hospitality locations across the U.S. and Canada.
  2. The project required considerable planning and co-ordination between the properties, the clients internal teams (Application, Network and Infrastructure Teams) and the UCA Trainers.
  3. Each site upgrade consisted of a hardware and communications upgrade followed by implementation of the software and 5 days of User training.

  • UCA used its internal Project Management team and methodology for this project.
  • UCA provided a dedicated team of trainers who were all certified by the client prior to performing an onsite installation. UCA then implemented a Train the Trainers approach for the rest of the resources.
  • The UCA project team was responsible for all aspects of the implementation, including site survey, procuring equipment, scheduling, implementations, training and planning.
  • UCA ensured that scheduling was done to meet the project deadline. This included minimizing travel time and cost by scheduling implementations in batches of 3 (locations that were close to each other) that could be performed by the same UCA trainer one immediately after the other.
  • The onsite installation consisted of implementing new hardware (workstations, hubs and network devices), testing (workstation, network and communications), software installation and 5 days of onsite User training.
